1. Begin by double-clicking
on the My Computer icon.
2. Double-click on Dial-up Networking.

3. Click on More and select Edit entry and
modem properties.
4. The Edit Phonebook Entry window will open.

5. Under the Basic tab, verify that the access
number and area code are correct. To check the
access number for your area, click here.
6. Click on the Server tab.

7. Verify that TCP/IP and Enable software compression
are checked.
8. Click on the Script tab.

9. Verify that None and is selected.
10. Click on the Security tab.

11. Verify that Accept any authentication including
clear text
12. Click OK.

13. Once you are back to the Dial-up Networking
window, click connect to try again.
